What We Learned in September:
As we welcomed in the new school year, our classroom has been buzzing with excitement and curiosity as kids get to know one another and adjust to our daily routines and schedules. This transitional period is crucial for fostering friendships and building a sense of community. This first month of school, we've learned several songs, including "The More We Get Together," "Days of the Week," and "Adios Amigos." As this month wraps up, we have begun our Fall Unit. We begin this unit with an exploration of apples. We've begun experimenting with apples in science and cooking. We conducted a sink-or-float experiment, where we took turns choosing a fruit or vegetable and determining whether it would sink or float. We learned apples float while limes and potatoes sink. What did your child choose? We also made Apple toothpick towers and later made them into homemade applesauce. We had some extra so we plan to make applesauce muffins next!
