What We Learned in September:
As we welcomed the new school year, the first month is all about getting to know one another. Kids are getting to know us, our class, routines, schedules, and teachers. Just as we teachers are getting to know all the kids, their special interests, eating habits, and quirks!
What We Are Learning This Month:
This month begins our Apple Unit! During the first week of October, we created our own apple orchard in our classroom, where we pick apples every day. We also made our very own apple sauce. This month, we are looking forward to our visit to the fruit stand on the 22nd and exploring more about apples and pumpkins.
Essential Questions:
What color is an apple? What color is a pumpkin?
What shape is an apple? What shape is a pumpkin?
Where do apples grow?
What is a farmer's market?
